25TH ANNUAL MIDWEST REGIONAL GUILD MEETING NOVEMBER 5 - 6, 2005

Please join us at the Indianapolis Museum of Art for the Midwest
Regional Conservation Guild's 25th Annual Meeting, November 5 - 6,

de-installing works of art. A great set of talks has been lined up and
there will be a variety of things to see and do during the meeting.

pre-conference lab tours the afternoon of November 4th, and the
Eiteljorg Museum of American Indians and Western Art has offered to
allow MRCG members free access to the museum for the day. That evening,
there will be a reception at Easter Conservation Services.

On Saturday November 5th, there are plans for a special
behind-the-scenes tour of the IMA's contemporary galleries, which open
to the public on November 20. MRCG members will also receive tickets
for the exhibition International Arts and Crafts, organized by the

There have been many changes to the cultural institutions in
Indianapolis since the Guild visited ten years ago! The Indiana State
Museum and the Indiana Historical Society have both moved into new
buildings with new conservation labs. At the same time, the
Children's Museum of Indianapolis has undergone expansion and
renovation. The conservators at each of these institutions have agreed
to open their labs the afternoon of Friday November 4th, from 1:00 -
5:00 p.m.

MRCG has made special arrangements with the Eiteljorg Museum of
American Indians and Western Art for complimentary access to the museum
on November 4. There will be a guest list at the main ticket desk that
lists registered conference members.

The Eiteljorg Museum was recently expanded and while there is no
conservation lab on site it is definitely worth a visit and is
conveniently located on the Canal between the State Museum and the
Historical Society. Visit the museum's website at www.eiteljorg.org
