these things are "new"
The bags are probably made of a multi
layer barrier film. The plastic bag material will likely not be harmful to
the quilts. The questions I would ask are: 1. will the tightly sealing the bag
cause problems? (unless there is condensation due to large temperature
differentials this should not be the case), and 2. Is it wise
to squeeze and pressurize the textiles for years or decades of
storage? (I would think that this would indicate that non-vacuum storage be
used.)
