The Textile Conservation Group, Inc. is
pleased to announce a workshop entitled
"Publishing Without Perishing", which has
been partially funded by a grant from the
Foundation of the American Institute for
Conservation. Aimed at experienced
conservators who wish to acquire the skills
necessary to produce publishable papers based
on their work or research, it will treat, among
other topics, the differences between oral
presentations and written ones, publishers'
guidelines, and the reviewer / referee process.
Presenters include: Barbara Appelbaum
(Appelbaum and Himmelstein), Deborah
Bede (Stillwater Textile Conservation Studio),
and Dr. Chandra Reedy (Editor of the Journal
of the American Institute for Conservation).
