Painted textiles

My name is Chantal Bernicky and I am a final year student in the Art 
Conservation department of Queen's University, Kingston, Ontario (Canada).  
I am currently specialising in painting and am especially interested in the 
conservation of painted objects and textiles.  My former training in theatre 
has enhanced my interest in the preservation of performing arts related 
objects such as painted theatre curtains, costumes, etc.  My current 
research project concerns the assessment of theatre related objects in 
Canadian collections and their conservation.  I would appreciate receiving 
any information from conservators that have treated theatre costumes (hand 
painted or not!)or that have worked in the survey of such a type of 
collection .

I am also enquiring about any individuals or institutions requiring interns 
for the summer of 2000.  I must complete a three months internship between 
the months of May to August.  Any information would be greatly appreciated.
