(Please excuse cross-posting): INTRODUCTION TO GRANTS FOR PRESERVATION Date: Tuesday, November 11, 2008 Place and Time: Live Online Class, 10 am to 12 pm This course is designed for those in small institutions interested in applying for grant funding for the first time, and anyone who seeks a greater understanding for the grant funding process. Emphasis will be placed on grant funding for preservation projects. Librarians and archivists from small institutions are encouraged to participate. ESTABLISHING EMERGENCY RESPONSE NETWORKS FOR CULTURAL COLLLECTIONS Dates: Thursday, November 13, 2008 Place and Time: Live Online Class, 10 am to 12 pm This two-hour class will look at these established networks and consider the best way to get a network started in your area. Local, state, and regional opportunities will be discussed as well as topics such as: mutual aid agreements, caches of supplies, training, response teams, and working with first responders.
