Northeast Document Conservation Center Presents:
PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY: STEWARDSHIP OF DIGITAL ASSETS
December 5-6, 2006
The Marriott University Park Hotel
Tucson, Arizona
***************************************************************************
THE PERSISTENCE OF MEMORY conference, taught by leading experts in digital
preservation, addresses the question of managing and preserving digital
assets over the long term. Institutions are rapidly acquiring collections of
digitized and born-digital resources. Without intervention, these materials
will not survive even a single human career. This conference will highlight
evolving best practices for digital preservation and will help institutions
take the next steps to preserve their investment.
Conference cost: $325
Registration deadline: Friday, November 10, 2006
***********************************************************************************
SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE:
To encourage diverse participation in the Persistence of Memory conference,
NEDCC is pleased to offer a limited number of scholarships that will cover
the registration fee. In awarding the scholarships, particular attention
will be given to diverse professionals, applicants from under-funded
organizations, and applicants from organizations that serve
under-represented communities. The scholarship application deadline is
November 1, 2006.
