[PADG:1100] Unusual art conservation lab at Smithsonian



I heard this on the radio on the way home tonight and thought PADGers would find it interesting.
 
Brief summary: The Smithsonian American Art Musuem has just reopened following renovation and now includes a "public" conservation lab with floor-to-ceiling windows that allow the public to observe the conservators at work.  If you listen to the report, you'll hear Isaac Mizrahi describe the "delicious" demin aprons he designed for the conservators to wear.  The link below also includes two photos of the lab.
