[PADG:688] NEDCC Announces New Digital Services

For Immediate release
September 2005

NORTHEAST DOCUMENT CONSERVATION CENTER (NEDCC) ANNOUNCES
NEW DIGITAL SERVICES

The Northeast Document Conservation Center now brings its preservation
expertise to performing high-quality digitization of historic photographs
and visual materials for libraries, archives, historical organizations,
museums, and other cultural institutions. These services have been developed
in response to requests from institutions that do not have digital experts
on staff and that are reluctant to leave valuable materials at commercial
facilities.

NEDCC digitizes from original sources to produce customized digital files in
TIFF or JPEG formats on DVDs or other media. Its technical photographers
print long-lasting images from an inkjet printer that employs archival inks
on acid-free paper in a variety of finishes.
