[PADG:2286] RE: Map cart

Hi Christine -- I've heard that National Archives has such a cart. Try
contacting them. Sorry I can't give you a name there. Good luck, Mary Kate

Subject: [PADG:2285] Map cart

We are looking for a cart to transport oversize items, primarily maps and
blueprints, from the vaults to the reading room and to other areas of the
building such as the conservation lab and scanning lab. It needs to have
wheels that move easily, and a large enough flat surface to be able to
transport the items flat. Right now we are using small tables on wheels and
various other carts we've rigged up to support the maps. None of which work
very well.

Has anyone come across anything commercially available? We would also be
willing to have a cart custom made if someone had plans they could share.
