Widening the Picture: the IMLS Preservation Survey of Selected non-ARL
Libraries

Over the last six months, the Council on Library and Information
Resources has collected quantitative and qualitative data about
preservation in American college and research libraries.  During this
ALCTS program, the project advisory committee will present preliminary
survey results and encourage discussion, questions, and comments from
the audience.  The program is an opportunity for ALA conference
participants to help shape an action agenda for library preservation.

Speakers and discussion leaders include: Anne R. Kenney, Assistant
University Librarian, Cornell University
Martha Kyrillidou, Senior Program Officer for Statistics and
Measurement, ARL
Ellen Cunningham-Kruppa, Digital Programs Librarian and Lecturer, GSLIS,
University of Texas at Austin Andrew Hart, Preservation Librarian,
University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill
Catherine Murray-Rust, Associate University Librarian, Oregon State
University

This study is an IMLS-funded joint project of the Council on Library and
Information Resources, the Association of Research Libraries, the
University Libraries Group, and the Regional Alliance for Preservation
with support from the American Library Association, leading liberal arts
colleges and major non-ARL land-grant institutions.
