[PADG:1529] Re: Microfilm/Scan simultaneously

Jane The camera from Zeutschel is the Omnia OK 300 Hybrid that comes in two sizes and models, the 300 and 301. The only difference between the two is the size of the documents that they can capture.  The 300 can capture documents up to A-0 size.  The 301 can capture documents up to A-1 size.   The company marketing the Zeutschel in the US is Crowley Micrographics (contact R.F. McCullough, rfmcc@xxxxxxx). At 05:25 PM 12/20/2001 -0500, you wrote: Zeutschel has a machine films first and scans second, or the reverse, but not both at the same time.  It is worth consideration. I believe I saw such a machine or a brochure for one at ALA in the last year or two. Does anyone know of a vendor that offers that service? Can that machine provide continuous tone microfilm? In lieu of the simultaneous filming/scanning we will consider just the continuous tone microfilm from which scanned images can be made. I know two vendors who offer this service: NEDCC and Preservation Resources. Does anyone know any other vendors? Thank you all very much, --Jane *********************************************** Robert J.
