Re: Forms/questionaires/surveys

Peter,
In 1995 I chaired a NYS Big 11 task force charged with developing a preservation needs assessment survey for NY libraries and archives. I compiled the results and created a database; the collected data has since been used to drive several grant supported projects. When you say you have survey forms from South Central and Cornell, are you referring to the Big 11 survey? If not, you would find it useful - as well as the database information for the South Central libraries. Just let me know if I can be of assistance.

Cheers,

I would recommend that you contact Gregor Trinkaus-Randall at the Mass
Board of Library Commissioners, <gregor.trinkaus-randall@xxxxxxxxxxx>
Gregor surveyed libraries in Massachusetts several years ago and created a
database that has become the basis of statewide preservation planning.

You may also want to contact Angela Reddin at the Mass State Archives
<areddin@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxx> as they also did a survey, less comprehensive,
but including historical societies.
