Cradle(s) for Book Digitization

Folks:

What kind(s) of cradles or cradle-equivalents are you or your all or your
vendors using for digitzing pages from books that do not open well?

I have seen a notice and a picture about an aluminum cradle designed by
Alan Buchanan, an English engineer and conservator, that costs $4535. It
is high-tech looking but seems ideal and well-made.

Your thoughts would be much appreciated, thank you.
