Re: two barcodes??



At Sewanee we use one barcode placed on the back cover at the top just far
enough from the spine edge to be able to do a spine replacement without
needing a new barcode.

The first time our books were barcoded, however, the barcodes were placed
on the inside back cover.  Many are still like this, but any time they are
checked out, a duplicate barcode is made for the cover.  

Special Collections materials get a barcode on a polyester cover that goes
around the book.
