Second issue of RLG DigiNews now available!

The Research Libraries Group would like to announce the release of
the second issue of RLG DigiNews, the web-based, quarterly
newsletter available at:

www.rlg.org/preserv/diginews/

The second issue contains two feature articles: "The Cornell Digital
to Microfilm Conversion Project: Final Report to NEH" by Anne R.
Kenney and "Film Scanning of Newspaper Collections: International
Initiatives" by Alan Howell.  The technical review section contains
"Outsourcing Film Scanning and Computer Output Microfilm (COM)
Recording" which provides the results of a survey of service
providers who offer conversion between microfilm and digital image
files, either as COM recording or microfilm scanning.  In addition,
the issue contains many pages of relevant web sites, announcements
and a calendar of events.

With this second issue of RLG DigiNews also comes a bit of
enhancement to the RLG DigiNews area within the PRESERV web site.
Readers can now search issues of RLG DigiNews by keyword or browse
the hyperlinked tables of content of available issues.

In the coming months, access to FAQs will be enhanced, so send your
questions to the incredible RLG DigiNews editors at
