>From the conservator's perspective this view is not "ultraconservative".
It is the absolute antithesis of the fundamental mission of their
profession. To be sure, there are broad differences in opinion among
conservators about the degree to which interventive procedures should be
applied, but I've never heard anything even vaguely like this before.
