One, quite expensive, answer to this problem is laminated Amiran from
Schott A.G. in Mainz, Germany. This glass is available in water-white glass, with a
clea(not etched) coating which makes it anti-reflective and a highly filtering
UV absorber in its PVB laminate layer. It is widely used by European
museums and might be available from Rankins in London. Schott in the
U.S. has a product which they call Amiran TN which is 4 mils thick
and has all the attributes mentioned.
