Assistant Conservator Objects Conservation Laboratory Conservation Center Los Angeles County Museum of Art The Los Angeles County Museum of Art invites applications from qualified objects conservators for a full time position in the Conservation Center. The assistant conservator works collaboratively with the entire conservation staff in all aspects of the care and preservation of the museum's encyclopedic collection of artwork dating from antiquity to the present. Candidates will be considered who have graduated from a recognized conservation training program, with a specialization in objects conservation, or who have similar training or experience. Further postgraduate work and/or several years employment in conservation is strongly suggested. The candidate should possess a demonstrated ability to treat a wide variety of three-dimensional objects, and communicate effectively and work well with other museum personnel. The salary range is competitive and includes benefits.
