Planning and Presenting Live Interpretive Programs
Course begins September 6, 2016

This course is especially designed for Museum/Heritage Site
volunteers and docents who have a passion for sharing their love
of history, art, nature or other topics with visitors to their
particular site, and provide their services on a volunteer
basis. Many of the docents we have had the pleasure of
providing training workshops for are retired teachers,
historians, naturalists or others with a desire to instill that
love of their subjects with the visitors they meet and guide and
really like connecting with people of all ages. Join instructor
John Veverka for this 4 week online course, part of our series
    of interpretation courses.

Grants for Museums and Historic Sites
Course begins September 6, 2016

Identifying and winning grants from foundations and governments
is a mix of art and science. This course is designed for
professionals either learning or reviewing their skills in
raising money through grants. Philanthropy keeps changing, and
so does grantmaking. Everyone on the team must contribute to
raising money to do good work; those with grant-preparation
skills are very valuable to the institution.
