Subject: Portfolio Day at Winterthur
WUDPAC Art Conservation Portfolio Day Winterthur Museum (Not the Newark campus) October 5, 2016 4-7 pm Students interested in applying to the Winterthur/University of Delaware Program in Art Conservation (WUPAC) should not miss this insightful opportunity. On October 5, 2016, the Master's program will host its annual Portfolio Day, in which the entering class of graduate students shares their pre-program resumes. Pre-program candidates can engage one on one with the graduate students and ask questions about the process involved in applying to graduate school for art conservation. Graduate students' portfolios and studio art will be on exhibit. This year's student speaker, starting at 4PM, is Amaris Sturm, who has interned this summer at the University of Pennsylvania Museum of Archaeology and Anthropology. Amaris will gladly field questions from the audience at the end of her talk. After Amaris' presentation, students and visitors are invited to talk to first-year WUDPAC students for gaining insight and advice, and tour the conservation labs in the Winterthur Research Building. The following labs will be open: painting, paper, book, textiles, furniture, objects conservation, and the analytical labs. Current second-year WUDPAC students will be available in the labs to explain their current conservation projects and the curriculum.
