of conservation and the creative and visual arts.  As well as being

We currently have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic
conservation professional to be the Subject Leader and a Programme
Co-ordinator in the School of Conservation specialising in Books and
Library Materials.  Under the direction of the Head of the
Conservation School, this role will be responsible for the day to
day organisation and delivery of subject specialist curriculum for
units of study at FHEQ levels 6 and 7 in the Conservation of Books
and Library Materials, as well as supervising the dedicated studio
and equipment.  The appointed person will also have responsibility
for the co-ordination and management of cross-school curriculum as
agreed with the Head of School.  The ideal candidate will have
demonstrable experience in the professional practice of
conservation, with significant experience of teaching, assessment
and administration in higher education, as well as a track record of
successful programme management.  Crucial to the role is also a
solid understanding of contemporary conservation theory and
practice, and a professional approach to conservation and best
practice in workshop and studios.  For the full job description,
