MacKenzie Art Gallery, the R.C.M.P. Heritage Centre and the Royal

Forensics (June 6-7, 2017), and Photo-etching with University of
Regina Professor Robert Truszkowski (June 7, 2017).

The theme of the 43rd Annual Conference is Obsolescence. Colleagues
are invited to submit abstracts that address the theme, from
preserving outmoded technology, to adapting or letting go of
outmoded ideas and practices, conservation deals with the archaic on
many levels. What's relevant? What's practical? What matters?

In addition, papers are requested on all aspects of conservation
theory and practice, including all types of collections, public art,
the built environment, industrial heritage, archival records, and
mount-making.

in French or English, by e-mail attachment (MS Word, double-spaced,
12 point, Arial font) and indicate 'CALL FOR PAPERS - CAC2017' in
the subject line to conference<-at->cac-accr<.>ca. Note: Abstracts for
5-minute short talks and posters are also encouraged, and can be

note that speakers are not compensated and must register for the
conference (single day registration is available). Abstracts will
be published in English and French as part of the conference
proceedings.
