Two-year fixed-term with potential for extension to a total of five
years

UKP16,087.50 per annum (UKP8.25 per hour) plus benefits

The initial two-year appointment will be for a foundation course in
hand bookbinding based in the Royal Bindery, Windsor Castle, working
alongside the book conservation-restoration team.  On successful
completion of this, the apprentice will be offered a further three
years of more specialist training in the fundamentals of book and
manuscript conservation and restoration, period binding styles, gold
finishing and edge-gilding, and box making.  Please see a press
