ECS Conservation

ECS Conservation is seeking an experienced paper conservator to join
the Book and Paper Conservation staff at their facility in
Greensboro, NC.  ECS is a private book and paper conservation
facility with a diverse client base including academic libraries,
museums, historical societies, galleries, private collections and
individuals.  The types of materials treated are equally diverse,
ranging from documents and maps to historic artifacts and fine art.
This position would require a mixture of treatment, client
interaction and lab management/administration.

Qualifications:

    Graduate level degree from an accredited conservation training
    program with a specialization in Paper Conservation or
    equivalent

    A minimum of 5-10 years of post-training experience

    Ability to treat large format materials

    Capability of managing high volume work flow

    Some previous experience in a private practice or regional
    conservation center

    Experience mentoring/supervising interns or junior staff members

    Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

    Ability to interact effectively and professionally with clients
    and other staff members

Additional Preferred Qualifications:

    AIC peer reviewed status

    Advanced level training and work with photographic materials
    and/or Asian art

This position is a full-time, salaried position with full benefits.
Title and compensation will be commensurate with level of
experience.
