Workshop

New Functionality in MediaInfo for the Conservation of Digital Video
Tate Britain, London
July 23, 2016

Dave Rice will be delivering a free one day workshop at Tate Britain
(London, UK) on his work in adding functionality to MediaInfo for
the conservation of digital video artworks, on Saturday 23 July
2016.

The workshop is the outcome of a collaboration between Dave Rice and
PERICLES

In early 2015 Tate published an initial report by Dave Rice
"Sustaining Consistent Video Presentation"

    <URL:http://www.tate.org.uk/research/publications/sustaining-consistent-video-presentation>

Following on from this Dave has been working to add functionality to
MediaInfo in order to provide a tool for conservators to easily
present information relevant to the challenge of consistent video
playback for preservation.

We have a few places available. If you would like a place, please
apply by email to edwina.pericles<-at->tate<.>org<.>uk and
john.mcneill<-at->tate<.>org<.>uk as soon as possible by sending a short
description (no more than 200 words) outlining how you would benefit
from attending this workshop. Please be aware that we are unable to
support any expenses involved in attending the workshop.
