We have an exciting new opportunity for an Inspection and
Administrative Coordinator (Paintings Conservator or Conservation
Scientist) with strong administrative skills to assist the Technical
Manager (Senior Conservation Scientist) of our Art Services team in
the UK.  The successful candidate will be a paintings conservator
with strong administration skills.  They will plan and coordinate
the operations of condition reporting, undertake quality checks on
reports and carry out condition reporting on artworks.  In addition
they will assist in performing technical analyses on artworks and
provide full administrative assistance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

    Planning and coordinating operations with relevant inspectors
    (paintings conservators)

    Undertaking quality checks of the condition reports

    Maintain regular, productive contact with clients

    Assisting the Local Business Developer and Technical Manager
    with day-to-day administrative tasks

    Producing condition reports of different levels of details on
    art objects of different categories

    Carrying out work according to established procedures

    Reporting damages, inconsistencies and/or non-conformities as
    required

Skills

    Possesses excellent organisation and administrative skills

    Competent in photography and the documentation of cultural
    objects

    Able to demonstrate excellent information management skills and
    competent in the use of Microsoft Office, including the ability
    to write reports and spreadsheets to a high standard using Excel
    and Word

    Operates with precision and independence

    Fluent in English.

    MA Degree - Paintings Conservation or Conservation Science, or
    equivalent educational background

    Have a specialization in paintings and/or contemporary materials

    Ideally able to speak other languages

Experience

    Experienced in condition reporting on different categories of
    art objects

    Experienced in technical examination of artworks (X-ray
    radiography, Infrared radiography, XRF, UV fluorescence,
    technical photography, stereomicroscopy, etc.)
