Modern Art Conservation, a New York City-based studio specializing
in the conservation of modern and contemporary art, is seeking a
full-time paintings conservator, available immediately.  This
position offers potential for professional growth through varied and
challenging treatments.  The candidate should have a demonstrated
ability and interest in the treatment of modern and contemporary
paintings and painted surfaces and exhibit excellent hand and
problem-solving skills.  The ability to work under tight deadlines,
perform treatments quickly yet carefully and collaborate with a team
of conservators and support staff is essential.

The applicant must be a graduate of a recognized conservation
training program.  A strong interest in and knowledge of
contemporary and modern art preferred.  The position is offered for
one year with the possibility of becoming permanent.  Salary is
commensurate with qualifications and experience.  Health benefits
and a 401K plan are offered.
