The British Library, Conservation Exhibitions and Loans Manager. St Pancras, London. Full Time (36 hours per week) Fixed term contract for 2.5 years Salary: UKP32,000 - UKP36,800 per annum This is an opportunity to lead the delivery of the Conservation departments Exhibitions and Loans programmes and initiatives. You will need to allocate, delegate and manage various tasks across teams and to lead/ develop a risk assessment based approach for the exhibition and loan of collection items. There will be periods of high intensity with tight deadlines. You will also be expected to contribute to the operational management of conservation and provide recommendations and advise various stakeholders. You should have broad knowledge of the methods of displaying and assessing objects. A high level of manual dexterity and the ability to treat fragile and delicate materials, knowledge of materials and the ability to provide innovative solutions. You need to have either a degree in conservation or equivalent knowledge and skills sets, practical hands-on experience in conservation and managing conservation projects.
