The incumbent uses expert knowledge and skills in the area of
library binding and shelf preparation, collections conservation
de-acidification and cataloging to preserve and make accessible the
Library's heavily accessed general, reference and law collections
with a great deal of independence in an exemplary manner.  The
Library Binding Section is responsible for administering the
Library's program for the binding and the rebinding of materials in
the collections, and the physical shelf preparation of all Library
materials.
