Fellowship Assistant Conservator Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe (ZKM) The Zentrum fur Kunst und Medientechnologie Karlsruhe (ZKM) is a public-law foundation and an institution for research, cultural advisory and education. The aim of ZKM is to increase public awareness, understanding and appreciation of modern and contemporary art and time-based media. ZKM is offering a junior research fellowship as Assistant Conservator, preferably as of 1 June 2016. With this post ZKM is offering an exciting environment and the opportunity of gaining a deeper insight into the daily routine of a museum. The offer is for junior job seekers educated to degree level, hold a recognised qualification in conservation and interested in modern and contemporary art. Experience of working with museums and galleries as well as knowledge of modern materials and time-based media is desirable. The applicant should have the ability to work independently as well as in a team with a range of people. He/She should have a sound knowledge of English and a basic to sound knowledge of German. The anticipated duration of the contract would be one year with the possibility of extension for another year. The junior research fellowship is graded as a fixed amount per month.
