It's preserving some of the world's greatest drawings for millions
to admire

It's knowing that your work matters more. And it's the satisfaction
of caring for and presenting one of the world's most extensive art
collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection Trust
so different.

>From old master drawings and watercolours to prints, maps and
portrait miniatures, the Prints and Drawings section of the Royal
Collection has a unique and engrossing history.

Your challenge will be to lead a team of talented experts to
maintain, care for and present this world-class collection.

You'll manage a busy programme of conservation and co-ordinate
treatments for upcoming exhibitions, making sure all work is
delivered to the highest standard.

As an expert in your field, you'll undertake a wide range of
conservation treatments for works of art on paper, and you'll
direct, monitor and evaluate the work your team carries out on this
vast collection.

Liaising with teams around the Trust, you'll advise on the correct
handling, storage, transport and display of works of art on paper,
preserving them for generations to come.

But that's not all. You'll be encouraged to research and develop
new solutions in paper conservation, keeping our techniques and
policy at the forefront of professional standards.

And in all that you do, you'll inspire those around you to achieve
results that can be enjoyed by millions around the world.

About you:

With a relevant degree or equivalent, along with experience of
managing conservation projects within a museum, gallery or
library, you're the expert we need.

You'll have wide-ranging expertise in the conservation of works
of art on paper, especially old master and nineteenth-century
    material.

And you'll have an extensive understanding of the science,
theory and ethics of conservation. A broad knowledge of art
history would be an advantage too.

With strong leadership skills and as a great communicator,
you're able to motivate, support and develop people to deliver
    outstanding results.

Your organised and methodical approach to work will be
important, as you'll be managing budgets and multiple deadlines.
You'll also have a good command of relevant IT programmes.

With an exceptional eye for detail, you'll be proud to deliver
conservation work to the highest standard. But above all, you
have a clear passion for maintaining this extraordinary
collection of works for both present and future audiences.

This is your opportunity to use your passion for conservation to
deliver the exceptional.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits
package, including 33 days holiday (inclusive of Bank Holidays), a
15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for
flexibility--to increase contributions or draw down as salary),
lunch provided, training and development opportunities and a range
of recreational facilities.

Interviews will take place at Windsor in the week commencing 16 May
2016.
