Preserving podcasts

I am curious about how institutions manage podcasts and other
periodical audio assets within their collection.

How do you decide which podcasts to include in your collection?  How
do you store these assets?  How do you make them searchable and
accessible?  Have you folded their records into your existing
catalogue, or was it necessary to create a new catalogue?  What
industry standards have helped to guide your policies?
