About the role

It's looking up to see an old masterpiece you've brought back to
    life

It's the satisfaction in delivering outstanding work. And it's
caring for and presenting one of the world's largest art
collections. This is what makes working for Royal Collection
    Trust so different

In terms of both quality and diversity, our collection is
breath-taking. You'll join a team of talented Painting
Conservators who maintain, care and present all paintings within
    the Royal Collection

Working alongside a busy exhibition schedule, you'll carry out
vital painting conservation treatments and repair work

Whether it's structural treatment, surface-cleaning or
retouching and varnishing, you'll use the best methods and
materials to return a work of art to its full glory

You'll fully assess paintings in the collection, compiling
condition reports, and undertaking detailed analysis to
    determine any conservation needed

You'll also make sure paintings are stored, transported and
displayed correctly, as well as keeping our expanding database
    updated

You'll aim for perfection in all you do, and you'll enjoy
    working with your expert colleagues

And knowing you're preserving art to be seen, and admired by a
huge audience will be the biggest reward

About you:

With a post-graduate qualification in a relevant subject, along
with conservation experience within and museum or art gallery
environment, you'll be able to hit the ground running

A skilled expert with an eye for extreme detail, you'll have
proven results of your accuracy and precision in previous
    conservation work

Your organised and methodical approach to work will be vital,
and you'll be able to prioritise in order to meet multiple
    deadlines for exhibitions

A good command of relevant IT programs will be important too

As an effective communicator you enjoy working as part of a
team, and have the ability to build relationships with a range
    of people

Above all, you'll be driven by preserving beautiful art work for
    future generations to enjoy

This is your opportunity to use your skills and passion for art to
deliver the exceptional.

In return you will be rewarded with a comprehensive benefits
package, including 25 days holiday (exclusive of Bank Holidays), a
15% employer contribution pension scheme (with the option for
flexibility to increase contributions or draw down as salary), lunch
provided, with on the job training and development, as well as a
range of out-of-hours recreational facilities.
