"Essence of French Culture" Traditional Upholstery Course Chateau de Parthey Dole, France September 4-11, 2016 Cost: DBL US$2,500 Adventures in Preservation (AiP) is currently offering a 2016 workshop at the Chateau de Parthey in Dole, France. This workshop's focus is on upholstery, and AiP's efforts aim to raise awareness about the need to conserve the property's chapel, which was designed and built by notable French conservator Viollet le Duc in the 1800s. Under the guidance of Robert Carrette, accredited by the French Upholsterers Guild to teach the art and technique of upholstery, participants will learn hands-on techniques while working with period furniture.
