The Collection Department currently has an opportunity for a highly
motivated and enthusiastic professional to join the Museum at an
exciting time of development and renewal as a Conservator within our
Te Awe project.  The Conservator will be part of the core project
team dedicated to readying the Auckland Museum's collections for
Future Museum, the Museum's 20 year strategic plan, starting with
taonga Maori collections.  Working closely with the project team,
Conservators, Curators and Collection Managers, the Conservator will
be responsible for expert physical care and improvement of the Maori
carving Collection as well as organising conservation work flow in
conjunction with Te Awe colleagues.
