The Foundation of the American Institute for Conservation of
Historic and Artistic Works (FAIC), seeks a Coordinator for its
Collections Assessment for Preservation (CAP) program.  The position
offers an outstanding opportunity for an articulate, outgoing, and
detail-oriented individual with knowledge of the museum community to
build on FAIC's solid record of service in conservation of historic
and artistic works.

The CAP program will provide assessments of collections and
buildings at reduced rates for small and mid-sized museums in the
United States.  FAIC has signed a three-year collaborative agreement
with the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) to develop
and manage the program.

The CAP Coordinator will work in Washington, DC with IMLS, FAIC
staff, a Project Steering Committee, and volunteers to develop
policies, applications, guidelines, evaluations, and other materials
to support the project.  The Coordinator will also promote the
program within the museum community and will supervise an Assistant.

The annual salary is $45,000, plus an excellent benefit package.
