Conservator Pitt Rivers Museum University of Oxford Grade 4: UKP20,989, UKP24,298 p.a. (pro-rata) Permanent Part-time (15 hours per week The Pitt Rivers Museum is seeking an experienced and enthusiastic Conservator for 15 hours per week on a permanent contract. The hours can be flexible, but applicants must be able to work on Monday mornings. The Conservator will be required to undertake both preventative and active conservation of ethnographic and archaeological material including its transport, handling, treatment, condition reporting, storage and environmental monitoring, and maintain computerized museum catalogue database records as necessary. The post-holder will be part of the Museum's Conservation department based in the on-site Conservation laboratory, but will also be required to occasionally work off-site at the Museum's reserve collection storage facilities.
