"Emerging Technologies in Textile Conservation"
AICCM Textiles Special Interest Group
Sydney
19-22 May 2016

AICCM is pleased to present Emerging Technologies in Textile
Conservation, a Textiles Special Interest Group Symposium, to be
held in Sydney 19-22 May 2016 to coincide with Mercedes-Benz Fashion
Week.

The symposium will present innovative research, practical ideas and
illuminating case studies from a range of exceptional textile
conservators and practitioners. This will be an excellent
opportunity to build knowledge, share resources and grow your
professional networks.

Alongside the symposium, the AICCM Textiles SIG has programmed three
skills-building workshops to give practical training in three key
areas of practice. Workshops include a textile adhesive workshop
presented by Zenzie Tinker at the Museum of Arts and Applied
Science, a metal thread cleaning workshop presented by Ian and
Rinske Car at the Australian National Maritime Museum and a half-day
costume mounting workshop presented by Tess Evans at the Yaama
Dhiyaan centre.

Early bird registration has been extended until March 15, 2016.

The symposium is open to all
