Subject: Electronic cigarettes in museums
Now that E-cigarettes or Electronic cigarettes are popular has there been any research done regarding the effects of these cigarettes on museum environments or collections? I have seen some facilities where there is signage that forbids smoking "including electronic cigarettes" spelled out. We are looking at a similar approach. The main reason I bring this up is that some doctors prescribe e-cigarettes as a way to aid people with certain disorders such as Tourette syndrome. So that brings those devices in the museums more frequently. Has anyone dealt directly with this issue? **** Moderator's comments: This subject has come up before.
