This is an exciting opportunity to work with some of the key
artworks in the world, joining Tate's Collection Care division in
the new role of Conservation Manager: Time Based Media.  Time based
media includes film, video, slide, audio, computer-based
technologies and performance based artwork, all having a time or
durational aspect.

Tate's Conservation department brings excellence and innovation to
the care of Tate's historic, contemporary and modern art
collections, from Turner and the Pre-Raphaelites to Louise Bourgeois
and Ai Wei Wei.

As a member of the Conservation Management Team, you will work with
the Head of Conservation in the strategic planning and leadership of
the department.  You will co-ordinate the delivery of Tate's public
programme and be responsible for the operational planning,
management and development of the Time Based Media team.

You will lead the development of the conservation specialisms within
the team, supporting research and development in standards of care
and working to raise the profile of Conservation internally and
externally.  To be successful in the role, you will have a museum or
gallery background with a professional qualification in Conservation
and experience within your specialism.  You will be an experienced
manager, with a track record in leading and developing teams and
establishing a collaborative and high performing culture.  Your
excellent interpersonal, communication and project management skills
will enable you to manage people, budgets and resources effectively.
