Kelvin Hall Collections Decant Conservator

The Hunterian at the University of Glasgow is building a new
collections store and study centre to house all of its collections.
The Hunterian is recruiting a collections decant team, including a
conservator, to facilitate this move by September 2016.

Full time.
Salary: UKP27,057 - UKP30,434

Job Purpose: To carry out conservation assessment and possibly
treatment to stabilize collections prior to relocating the
collections to the Kelvin Hall.  The postholder will be expected to
resolve issues/queries independently, providing specialised and
general advice on conservation procedures for the move, including
the packing and handling of objects.  The postholder will develop
and manage an integrated pest management programme for the move.
