Talk on conservation of organic objects

The ICON Ethnography Group is hosting a free gallery talk at the
British Museum on Saturday November 22, 2014 at 11am.  The talk will
be given by Verena Kotonski (Organic Artefact Conservation,
Conservation and Scientific Research) and will discuss the
conservation of organic objects in the new exhibition "Pilgrims,
healers and wizards: Buddhism and religious practices in Burma and
Thailand."

After the talk, the participants will be given a guided tour of the
new Organic Conservation lab in the World Conservation and
Exhibition Centre at the British Museum.  As there is limited space,
the number of participants for the talk and the tour is limited to

Please make the organizers aware of any mobility issues or fear of
heights upon registering.  At the end of the tour there will also be
the option to continue on to lunch at a nearby restaurant.
