Daria K. Conservation, LLC, a conservation studio in NYC
specializing in modern and contemporary art on paper, is seeking an
experienced paper conservator for a full or part time position
(minimum of three days a week).

The position often necessitates research into new material and
techniques employed by artists, as well as those available in the
conservation field.

Required Experience: Candidate should have a degree from a
recognized conservation training program, or equivalent professional
training of at least four years.

Qualifications:

    Good problem solving skills and experience in treatment of
    modern and contemporary art on paper are essential

    In depth knowledge of modern and contemporary art, including
    material and techniques, and a demonstrated knowledge of a
    variety of contemporary conservation techniques and theories

    Ability to write coherent and concise condition reports and
    treatment proposals, as well as to perform on site condition
    checks

    Ability to work both independently and in collaboration with a
    small team

    Ability to work within tight deadlines

    Strong communication skills

examples of conservation treatment reports and three examples of
condition reports.  Incomplete or incorrectly submitted applications
will not be considered.  Deadline for application is October 15,
2014.

Salary is commensurate with experience.  Compensation package
includes pension and health care.
