Subject: Institutional policies on the use of permanent inks
I would like to solicit the archival conservation community for information on the development of policies on the use of permanent inks, particularly for the signing of prestigious government documents. Can anyone share such a policy, or provide any information on inks that have been recently tested and can be considered "permanent"? There have been attempts over the years to compile such information, but I have not come across any publications, papers, etc. Any help would be most appreciated; I would prefer not to replicate any previous efforts on this subject!
