Emerging Technology and Innovation for Cultural Heritage

    historical and archaeological parchment, leather and textile

3rd Gate, (nr. 16-20, Dumbrava Forest, Sibiu)

In the 3rd International Seminar and Workshop on Emerging Technology
and Innovation for Cultural Heritage which will focus this year on
the theme of advanced technology for diagnosis, preservation and
management of historical and archaeological parchment, leather and
textile artefacts, the following topics will have priority:

    Advanced diagnosis technics

    ICT applications for the Cultural Heritage

    Climate change risk assessment and prevention

    Conservation and restoration of parchment, leather and textile
    heritage, in the context of the development of research methods
    and technics

The Seminar will include the lectures held by important key-note
speakers invited from Romania and abroad

The main purpose of the Workshop is to present the new automatic
tool imageMHT for the in situ diagnosis of the collagen based
cultural heritage (parchment, leather, skin), which is being
developed within the National Project PN II COLLAGE

as well as the MEMORI Dosimeter developed by the Memori FP7 European
Project

This event will also include a Poster Session offering to all
participants the opportunity of attending to short presentations. If
you are interested in submitting an abstract for the 3rd edition of
our International Seminar and Workshop please send us a word
document of at most 1000 words on one of the above mentioned topics
