The Field Service Office at the Balboa Art Conservation Center
(BACC) is excited to announce a new series of its Focus On
Collections Care workshops, starting in Tempe, AZ, 22-23 October
2014.

Our workshop topics in Tempe will be:

    Care of Collections: Paper
    Care of Collections: Metal Objects
    Preservation: Policies, Plans, and Procedures
    Disaster Recovery for Wet Collections: The First 24-48 Hours

The Balboa Art Conservation Center (BACC) <URL:http://www.bacc.org>
welcomes all museum professionals, volunteers, students, and
interested people to learn about basic preservation theory and best
practices from professional conservators and other experts in the
field.  These workshops combine solid, detailed theory with hands-on
learning and practical ideas for improving collections care at your
institution. In previous years, the FOCC workshops have been very
well received by a range of attendees, including museum registrars,
collection managers, curators, volunteers, and students.
