Subject: Call for papers--AIC Sustainability Committee
Call for Papers AIC Sustainability Committee Miami, Florida May 13-16, 2015 The American Institute for Conservation's Sustainability Committee invites submissions for its session at the AIC Annual Meeting in Miami, Florida, May 13-16, 2015. The meeting's theme is "Practical Philosophy or Making Conservation Work." Sustainability as a philosophy can be difficult to put into practice beyond the three popular tenets of "reduce, re-use and recycle." The transformation of sustainable philosophy into action is impacted by available resources, economic factors, project specific considerations and other aspects. Submissions are requested that demonstrate successful or unsuccessful incorporation of green theory into practice, however proposals outside the conference theme but related to sustainability will also be considered. In addition, presentations that encourage dynamic, interactive discussion will be preferred. Please submit abstracts of 500 words or less with a bio of no more than 300 words per author by September 10, 2014. Include the title, author's name(s), professional titles, and affiliations. Indicate on the abstract and the email subject line that the submission is for the Sustainability Committee session. Full submission guidelines are available on the AIC website for the 2015 Annual Meeting under Submit an Abstract.
