Lecturer: Sharon S. Takeda

Please join members of the Costume Society of America Western Region
for a lecture by Sharon S. Takeda (Senior Curator and Head of the
Department of Costume and Textiles at Los Angeles County Museum of
Art) on kimono from the early-to-mid twentieth century.  Takeda will
describe these new fashions in a fully illustrated lecture in
LACMA's Brown Auditorium, followed by a self-guided tour of the
exhibition Kimono for A Modern Age in the Pavilion for Japanese Art.
This exhibition features more than thirty examples from LACMA's
permanent collection, exhibited for the first time.

Admission to LACMA for the entire day is included in registration
cost. This is an exclusive CSA WR program (not a public LACMA
program).
