Amandina Anastassiades appointed Assistant Professor at Queen's University

The Art Conservation Program at Queen's University is very pleased
to announce the appointment of Amandina Anastassiades in the
position of Assistant Professor (Artifacts) in the Art Conservation
program as of 1 July 2014.  She replaces Krysia Spirydowicz who
retired the end of June 2014.

Amandina is a graduate of the Art Conservation Program at Queen's
(1997).  She ran a private conservation practice and was a contract
conservator for museums and heritage institutions in Canada and
Turkey for six years.  She then spent close to a decade in Greece as
a conservator with the American School of Classical Studies at
Athens, Agora Excavations where she served as Head for last seven
years.

Amandina has extensive experience conserving and teaching
conservation at the undergraduate and graduate levels, and broad
expertise in the conservation of historic, ethnographic, and
archaeological materials.  Her research interests include the
conservation of both organic and inorganic materials.
