The Icon Book and Paper Group now invites abstracts for poster
contributions to the conference. Posters may address the two
primary themes of the conference, but where relevant a broader
interpretation of these themes may be acceptable:

Adapt and Evolve: posters which explore the introduction,
formalisation and evolution of East Asian materials and techniques
in the conservation of Western book and paper collections.

Materials and Techniques: posters on the latest research into
materials and techniques borrowed from Japan, China, Taiwan and
Korea.

Posters offering practical tips or describing treatments applicable
within the standard conservation studio are particularly welcomed.
Participation from students, new Icon members and professionals in
allied fields is encouraged.

The deadline for poster abstracts is 30 August 2014. Poster
abstracts should be no more than 300 words. Please include the
title of the poster, name(s) of the author(s), mailing address, and
telephone number.

Please submit abstracts to: adaptandevolve2015<-a t->gmail< . >com

For further details please consult

The website will be updated with more information about the
conference, its themes, and abstracts from key speakers as they
become available.
